Henderson Wave

Stanley and Marianne suggested a nice place for night stroll. It's Henderson Wave. We went there on 18th January 2009 after having ice-cream at B&J and parked our vehicle at Telok Blangah Hill.

The view is magnificent coz it's actually quite high from the road level, which is about 70 metres. Quite scary when you stand in the middle of the bridge and look downwards at the passing vehicles.

Gladys was enjoying herself running around and it seems that we're disturbing the quiet ambience as there are mostly dating couples there at night.

We had dinner at Labrador Seafood at Labrador Park on 08th February 2009. Even though the place is not crowded, we had to wait for more than 30 mins for our food to be served. The waitress claims that the kitchen is short handed.

At least the food is nice but the serving is too tiny, yet the bill is HUGE. It came out to almost $400 for normal zhi-cha dishes with 2 jugs of beer. But I would say, the feel is nice and the place breezy. So can enjoy a outdoor dinner with your loved ones.

Anyway, after dinner, Eric suggested going Henderson Wave again. This time with our folks and they really like the place.

CNY Party

Gladys' school had a pre-CNY party on 20.01.09 and all the kids are supposed to wear their traditional costumes and bring some snacks for pot-luck to school that day.

She had to wear a normal dress coz I didn't get her any traditional dress. I don't think I would ever let her wear that on a normal day so didn't wanna waste money on it. I would rather top up a little more to get a nice dress which she can get to wear often.

Ok, perhaps next year, I'll try to get her one.

Tell you, it was so difficult to get all the toddlers to stand together to take a nice shot. Some would be looking at other directions. Some cry for mummy. Some would be running away. No choice, kept snapping but yet, not even a nice shot of everyone.

Anyway, we brought kueh bangkit and wang-wang biscuits to school for the pot-luck party. The kueh bangkit was left untouched. All the kids were grabbing all the jelly candies, egg rolls, mashmellows and other sweet stuff. Gladys, as usual, was crazy about the wang-wang biscuits.

She was so bored of all the festive songs, she almost dozed off.

Later, she warmed up a bit and began dancing.

New Year's Day

We went to East Coast Park on New Year's Day. It was a nice and sunny day.

Finally, Gladys doesn't seem to mind stepping on sand anymore. But she was still not comfortable, she insisted Daddy holding her hand.

It was her first time sitting on a bicycle. We were so afraid she would be scared. The rental shop uncle was so nice, say we can give her a 'trial'. Daddy pillion her round the kiosk and she seems to be enjoying her ride. In fact, she was gleeing happily throughout the whole hour.

Then we had some ice cream and she wanted to 'eat it herself', as in her holding onto the ice cream. Luckily, not much of a mess.

Later in the night, we went off-road on the Land Rover to TM and had a mini BBQ session with some friends.

Sentosa

Brought Gladys to Sentosa on 20th September 2008. Had wanted to bring her swimming but she fell asleep during the journey. Anyway, I realised that the water is actually quite dirty. So we just strolled along the beach and took some photos.

She just woke up from her nap and enjoying her 120ml of milk, 'just for the kick'. You can see she's actually feeling quite shiok. Even crossing her leg!

The sunset was gorgeous! It's been a damn long time since I've had the chance to enjoy the beautiful sunset.

However, the beach was a disappointment. The water is not only mulky, the sand is actually quite dirty too. Maybe that's why no one swims in there.

Initially, Gladys was reluctant to lay her feet in the sand. When her daddy put her on the sand, she raised her feet and crossed them in mid air. It was after much persuasion that she tried to walk a bit. She was angry.

Daddy kept urging her to walk towards him.

Pose for a picture first.

Then started walking.

Dancing around.

Having fun.

And even ran a bit.

Suddenly, she seemed to be enjoying herself so much.

Even Daddy is puzzled.

Ready to take a stroll, hand-in-hand, with Daddy dearest.

Pose for a picture first. Say cheezzzz.

They kept walking until I had to stop them. Coz I didn't want Gladys to walk too near where those people are playing beach volley. You never know when a ball will come flying.

Ok, pose for another picture first.

I really don't understand why all this time, Daddy has got the ugly towel hanging round his neck.

Anyway, I asked Gladys to kiss Daddy, so that I can take a picture. Instead, she offered her face for her Daddy to kiss her instead. So smart hor.

It's simple things like these to make my life worth it. Enjoying a lazy afternoon with the 2 persons I love most in my life!

Lunch @ Shokudo

Had lunch with forum mummys and their babies at Shokudo, Raffles City on 18th April 2008.

It has been some time since we've last had such a big gathering. Some mummys shared good news of being pregnant again!

At least this time, I managed to finish up my lunch in peace. I shared a salmon fried rice and a waffle with butter with Gladys and she enjoyed it very much.

Here are some photos. Managed to take some of mummys and babies together, while keeping my eyes on the little rascal as she played on the slide. So sorry, didn't catch everyone. Had meant to.

Here are 2 videos of Gladys playing on the slide.

Gladys was 'bashed' by Jordon on the slide. No la, the fact is that Gladys was taking her own sweet time and Jordon was getting impatient. It's actually quite funny as 2 mummys got hysterical.

Gladys enjoying on the slide. She just went on and on. The thing is, she tried to skip a step to get up faster. But she wasn't strong enough to drag herself up. Ended up taking a longer time.

Looking forward to the next lunch date!

Lunch with Friends

Met up with Teresa at Bukit Timah Plaza for grocery shopping on 3rd September 2008. Had lunch at Swensen's with Gladys.

Gladys was eyeing my soup all the time!

Happily slurpping!

And licking whatever's left on her lips.

Gladys with chio-chio Teresa.

Met up with Serene, Leona and Jessica on 17th September 2008. Had tea at Taka.

My mini cookie monster. Forever munching something in her mouth.

Managed a smile and a peace sign, in the midst of her munch.

Leona and bb Clyde.

Jazel, forever with a big smile.

Jessica very mean lor. Jazel's gonna hate her for this.

Gladys is still munching. I think this Snack Trap is actually very useful.

Serene with her nephew.

That's me and my cutsie. Now, she's very hiao. Can pose for a photo. She'll poke her cheek when you say "mei2 mei3".

Updates (Part II)

Brought the lil' gals to Vivo City on 14th August 2008. One of the shots I took for Jazel actually won her a free photo shooting session! Check it out, it's the last photo.

We met again at Vivo City on 27th August 2008. But this time, Foon and bb Braydon joined us. I took a cab to Vivo and on the way, Gladys puked on me! So the whole day, I think I smell funny.

I bought Gladys a pair of Barney bedroom slippers. She loves it a lot! At least, she stopped wearing mine.
